My most influential teacher was probably Mr. Ruffener in eighth grade. He had some rough edges, but he was a great teacher and a fun guy. Not only did he teach Geometry, but he made it his responsibility to teach us plenty of behaviors that would be required for high school. He was a bit hard on some students at times, but he was simply trying to make us mature enough for high school. He strongly believed in every student's potential, and pushed us all close to our breaking points by making us work for our A's. He thought that if he taught us all what we were actually capable of, then we would become more productive students in general. I for one have definitely seen the results of his teaching.
